How to Measure Powdered Supplements Accurately

Why tiny powder servings need the right measuring tool and how to use the included KIVELIX scoop consistently.

Very small powder servings are difficult to measure with ordinary kitchen spoons. A teaspoon from the silverware drawer is not a calibrated measuring tool, and even a standard kitchen measuring teaspoon is far too large to eyeball a 1/32-teaspoon serving accurately.

For KIVELIX Folinic Acid Powder, the simplest method is also the labeled method: use the included scoop and fill it level, not heaping.

1. Use the tool supplied for the serving

KIVELIX includes a small scoop sized for one labeled serving. One level scoop is approximately 1/32 teaspoon and corresponds to 0.1 g of the total powder blend.

That 0.1 g total serving provides 600 mcg folinic acid from calcium folinate. The remaining mass is primarily the product's plant-derived potato-starch base.

2. Keep the scoop level

Do not pack the powder into the scoop and do not leave a mound above the rim. Fill the scoop, then gently level the top so the surface is approximately flush with the edge.

Consistency matters more than trying to make a tiny scoop look mathematically perfect. Use the same technique each time.

3. Keep the scoop dry

Moisture can cause powder to cling to the scoop and can introduce humidity into the pouch. Make sure the scoop and your hands are dry before reaching into the product.

4. Mix into a practical food or beverage

KIVELIX is unflavored and can be mixed into suitable foods or beverages. Foods with some body, such as yogurt, applesauce, pudding, oatmeal, mashed fruit, smoothies, or similar options, can make it easier to distribute and consume the full measured serving.

The powder does not fully dissolve in plain water. Consume promptly after mixing and avoid hot foods, hot liquids, or heating.

5. Do not improvise a different serving from the pouch weight

A scale measures the total powder blend, not folinic acid by itself. While the labeled 0.1 g serving is tied to the product's 600 mcg folinic-acid serving, consumers should not assume that improvised fractional or multiple servings are appropriate for them.

6. Reseal the pouch immediately

After measuring, return the dry scoop and close the pouch tightly. Keeping the powder dry and protected from everyday kitchen humidity helps preserve its handling characteristics.
